Our Missions

Mission4Changes is at present engaged in a number of missions in India and Sri Lanka.
Our missions are non-religious and particulary focus on supporting children at risk.

St Jude India-Malta orphanage

Extension at St Judes Orphanage

The orphanage dates back to 1956. At the time, the Maltese Daughters of the Sacred Heart, who arrived in India as early as 1947, bought a piece of land, with the intent to construct a home for abandoned children.

The compound has ever since grown and developed and at present accomodates roughly 50 children.

In 2017, Mission4Changes was responsible for the extension of the orphan house and is at present working on a second extension to accomodate more abandoned children.

Assisi Snehalaya

Assisi Snehalaya

Assisi Snehalaya is a Maltese rooted care centre for children born with HIV / AIDS, as well as their parents.

The care centre was constructed in 2005 by the Maltese Conventual Franciscans. The initial funding came from a man from Gozo - Malta. The compound accomodates roughly a community of 30-40 people.

In 2018-19, Mission4Changes was responsible for the rescuing of the roofs of Snehalaya, which had deteriorated because the building did not have an effective response to the monsoon weather.

At present, canopies have been installed over the roof of Snehalaya and rainwater is being collected. The project was strategic not to lose the roof of the building, which means a home and a life for its residents. More importantly the project helps the community to reach self-sufficiency.
