Meet our Awards Winners

All our volunteers sacrifice their time to live our Mission.

Nonetheless there are those who excel in volunteering and distinguish themselves, for which reason Mission4Changes created the Volunteer(s) of the Year award.

Charmaine Grech/Josephine Borg
The team of Charmaine Grech and Josephine Borg setup and ran a bazaar for our missions for a period of 16 weeks – from which funds were used to purchase and install one of the canopies protecting the roofs of Assisi Snehalaya.

Anselmo Bugeja
Ing. Carmelo Fenech has conducted the building survey of Assisi Snehalaya in January 2018 and was strategic in the works performed within the two wards of the hospice.

Over the period 2018/19, he excelled in the installations and monitoring of the 5 canopies on the roofs of Assisi Snehalaya and the reserve osmosis installed in the dispensary as well as the fundraising for the upgrading of the medical equipment of the Assisi Snehalaya (including the purchasing of ventilators pre-Covid).

Carmelo (Charles) Fenech
Dr. Georgiana Farrugia has medically examined all the abandoned children resident in St Jude India-Malta orphanage and drawn approximately 50 medical records in the period December 2019/January 2020.

She was also strategic in the fundraising for the surgery of one of the children living in the home throughout 2020.

Chris Brown
Josephine Buġeja, an elder volunteer, has challenged the pandemic to volunteer at the Oasis Charity Bazaar since July 2020 - well before the vaccination programme started.

She fell in love with the voluntary work and lasted the test of time.

The Oasis Charity Bazaar had some great results including, amongst others, the purchasing of a top-notch ambulance for Assisi Snehalaya and the reconstruction of a well and a sceptic tank for a school of 300 children in Meghalaya (Don Bosco school – Mihmyntdu).
