About Us

Mission4Changes is a non-religious movement that is passionate about missionary work and a Voluntary Organisation supporting existing Missions in the world.

The aim is to develop innovative community projects that are versatile and sustainable, lead supported communities to self-sufficiency, invest in the lives of people, especially children, and promote voluntary work worldwide and spread the love for others

What we do

  • We design & develop new missionary projects that are based on the works of our predecessors,
  • We monitor and maintain contact with the communities already supported through our initiatives in the process of leading them to self-sufficiency,
  • We invest in the lives of people, especially children, by sponsoring their basic needs, their medical requirements, their food, their education and their formation,
  • We organise & prepare voluntary groups on an annual basis to perform works in one of our supported Missions,
  • We regularly organise fundraising actvities and campaigns,
  • We suppliment the TV programme ‘Maratona Missjoni’ with unique stories of children at risk and new missions in the world;
  • We work in close collaboration with the Presidents office as part of our annual appreciation to the volunteers who perform voluntary works abroad;
  • We maintain communication with our sponsors and members by circulating our newsletter on a 4 months period.
Mission4Changes Volunteer Group 2019

Meet our Awesome Team

Anselmo Bugeja
Anselmo was born in 1982. He studied at the Archbishop’s Seminary and graduated twice from the University of Malta. In 2008 he met Fr John Farrugia, founder of Fondazzjoni U (Xandir Soċjo-Reliġjuż) and together they worked for many years on the setup of voluntary initiatives that support communities in need by using the media. Anselmo is known for his contributions to the TV marathon ‘Maratona Missjoni’, which is done three times a year by Fondazzjoni U, on all Maltese TV stations.

Anselmo started Mission4Changes after his first missionary experience in 2017, which has completely changed his mindset and fueled his love for the Mission. After this experience, Anselmo felt the need to be more hands on in the lands of the Missions and reduce his time and efforts in doing local campaigns – which was his priority till then. Mission4Changes was setup in the subsequent years as a means to ensure that existing missions are adequately supported, they do not phase out and do not become part of our history books.

Mission4Changes was officially registered as a Voluntary Organisation in 2019. Ever since new members have joined our organisation and we now aim to organise a minimum of 2 voluntary groups annually.

Anselmo Bugeja
Manwel is the eldest active member of the team. He started doing voluntary Missions in 1994 and he is the most seasoned/experienced of the group. After a few years of volunteering abroad, his wife Doris also got passionate about the Mission and they are now like a single unit working to develop other people, especially those in extremely dire situations. They are a great role model for new married couples.

Manwel is particularly fond of Kenya where he has been different times. He is also a great influence for others and is very passionate about training new generations to follow his footsteps. He is currently in charge of the volunteer development programme, amongst other things.

Carmelo (Charles) Fenech
Charles is a skilled draughtsman and engineer. Most importantly, he is a mission person. He has worked at the Malta Dockyard for many years, which experience he now uses for the benefit of those in need. His first mission goes back to the mid 2000s.

Charles is very respected because he puts together skills, knowledge and passion and is able to work with others even in the most difficult situations. He has been strategic in designing projects leading them to a successful conclusion.

Chris Brown
Chris is originally from South Africa and being in Malta since 2005.

He was a guest DJ in a charity boat party organised by Anselmo back in 2016. Ever since the two met, it has been a rollercoaster of fun and unforgetable memories. Chris is very talented and he genuinely enjoys using his skills at the service of others.

Chris has been on three missions with Mission4Changes and he is a Team Leader as well.

He is also in charge of all the creative works.

Georgiana Farrugia
Georgiana was born in 1990. She is a former diagnostic radiographer and a medical doctor, who is currently pursuing specialization in Family Medicine. She is a self-driven, motivated voluntary work activist and has been on a medical mission in India in 2019. Dr Georgiana actively supports Mission4Changes in medically driven mission operations.

She considers dedicated volunteers to be the heartbeat of society. Thus, she continuously seeks to pursue various altruistic activities that are purely intended to promote good and improve the quality of life of other members within a community.

"Do not let yourselves be discouraged or embittered by the smallness of the success you are likely to achieve in trying to make life better. You certainly would not be able, in a single generation, to create an earthly paradise. Who could expect that? But, if you make life ever so little better, you will have done splendidly, and your lives will have been worthwhile." - Arnold J. Toynbee

Josephine Borg
Josephine is the Administrator of our outlet being the Oasis Charity bazaar.

She has been involved in voluntary work for a great deal of her life, which experience is a precious resource for Mission4Changes.
